Box Office: Lego Movie is Second Biggest February opening Ever

         This weekend The Lego Movie opened to nothing but praise, as it blasted its way to the top-spot with $69.1 million, leaving its competition well behind with Monuments Men hitting second with $22.7 million. The Lego Movie is now the highest February opening since Passion of the Christ (2004) which opened to a whopping $83.8 million.



          Early reviews for The Lego Movie were existentially high, and the afterthought was no different, scoring a 95% on Rotton Tomatoes and an 8.8 on IMDB. The Lego Movie stars Will Arnett and Elizabeth Banks,and is in theaters nationwide. Additional voices include Jonah Hill (Green Lantern), Will Ferrel (Lord Business), Chris Pratt (Emmet), and Morgan Freeman (Vitruvius).
