After over a year since the last article went up I, the Movie Scrounger, have returned back to this page with big news, about us, we are now Chronicles of Critic.

Not only that but we have our own official website where we have continued were the Movie Scrounger blog left off with news trailers and pics from the latest blockbuster movies.

News: Chris Evans Gives his Thoughts on New Johnny Storm

         After the news of Micheal B. Jordan's casting in the Fantastic Four reboot, fans where less than satisfied. Now, his predecessor, Chris Evans, has come forth with his thoughts on "passing the torch." Before Evans became Captain America he starred as Johnny Storm in the 2005 Fantastic Four, and its 2007 sequel.

          "It's so funny, you almost feel precious over the role that you don't want someone else to do it." Evans continued, "But when you hear someone phenomenal is doing it, it's very exciting like you almost can't wait."

         It looks like Captain America is going too update his uniform at least one more time. In a new video, we get a closer look at the captain in his new costume, which is remarkably similar too the MARVEL NOW!  costume he dons in the comics. This was shot during filming at the South Korean shoot of Avengers: Age of Ultron, the movie is set to release May 1, 2015.

News: Warner Bros. Plan adaption of 'Harry Potter' Spinoff Series

         Today, Warner Bros. announced plans to adapt J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter spinoff series Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them into "three megamovies."

Interview: Robert Downey Jr. Talks with Variety on Chris Evans and 'The Avengers'

         It's no secret that Robert Downey Jr. received a boost to his career after excepting the coveted role of Tony Stark/Iron Man. Thanks to Iron Man and Sherlock Holmes, he has since topped Forbes list as the highest paid actor, earning $75 million last year. Recently he sat down with Variety to discuss future Avengers plans and actor Chris Evans decision to quit acting.

Interview: Chris Evans Talks Quitting Acting and Directing

         In an interview with Variety, Captain America's Chris Evans has stated that after his contract with Marvel is up, he will step back from acting and pursue his aspirations in directing. The star signed a six movie deal with Marvel, and has completed three. His deal will likley end around 2017. Captain America: The Winter Soldier arrives April 4, 2014.

        "As Evans prepares for another spin in the superhero stratosphere, he admits to feeling somewhat ambivalent about being typecast as a comicbook star. The 32-year-old actor spent his winter hiatus from the Marvel universe directing his debut feature, an intimate $3 million love story tentatively called “1:30 Train,” which focuses on a young woman (Alice Eve) who misses her ride home at Grand Central Terminal and spends the night talking to a street musician (played by Evans). He shot the film on Manhattan’s Lower East side over the course of just 19 days, and recently finished editing a rough cut."

Box Office: 'Divergent' Tops the Charts, While 'Muppets' Fall Short

         Divergent opened to around $22.8 million, while the Muppets Most Wanted stumbled with an estimated $15 million. All the while, Christian drama God's Not Dead is shaping up to be a surprise box office hit.

News: David Fincher may Helm Steve Jobs Bio-Pic, On One Condition

         David Fincher is in talks to direct the new Steve Jobs movie, written by Aaron Sorkin, but on only one condition, Christian Bale must play the title role.

         "Fincher recently met with Sony's Amy Pascal to discuss the possibility of directing the film, and told her, in no uncertain terms, that he'd only take the reins of the project if Bale plays Jobs."

         Charlie Brown returns, along with snoopy and the rest of the beloved gang, the Peanuts are bounding back to the big screen for a November 6, 2015 release. Today we get our first look at what we have in store.

Box Office: Mr. Peabody and Sherman Slide Past Need for Speed

         Looks like Need for Speed just wasn't fast enough to beat out Mr. Peabody and Sherman, as the animated adventure took first in the weekend box office with a surprising $21.2 million. Mr. Peabody and Sherman has earned a total of $63.2 million and is estimated to clear the $100 million mark.

Rumor: Fox Looking to Dump Fantastic Four Director

         A report from Bleeding Cool has come forth, stating that Fox Studios is looking to drop director Josh Trank, from the Fantastic Four reboot. the article goes on to claim that they also dropped the script by Simon Kinberg and are actively looking for replacements. This all comes within six months of shooting in 2015.

Box Office: Need for Speed in Close Race for Weekend Opening

         The video game adaption starts its engine this weekend, and early forecasts say Need for Speed will not share the same success as The Fast and  the Furious franchise. With a projected $20 million domestic launch, the movie may lose out too holdovers 300: Rise of An Empire and Mr. Peabody & Sherman. While Tyler Perry's The Single Moms Club, could hold its own with a projected $15 million.

News: Captain America: The Winter Soldier Post Credit Scene Revealed

         Captain America: The Winter Soldier was press screened today, and an early review of the superhero movie has surfaced online via BrainFreeze.be, calling it  the "most serious and dark Marvel film." The review then goes on to reveal major spoilers about the final scenes of the sequel.

Box Office: The Grand Budapest Hotel Highest-Grossing Limited Live Action Debut of All Time

         With an $800,000 opening weekend, The Grand Budapest Hotel has broken the record for highest-grossing limited live action debut, beating out The Master. The movie, opened in only four theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, averaging more than $200,000 per theater.

Box Office: 300 Dominates Opening Weekend

         Though not nearly as much as the original, 300: Rise of an Empire gained a modest $45.5 million this weekend. While Dream Works' Mr. Peabody & Sherman fell in second with $32.5 domestically.

Box Office: 300: Rise of an Empire Projected $42 Million Opening Weekend

         The highly anticipated 300 sequel opened to a notable $17.7 million on Friday, plus $3.3 million in late-night Thursday showings, this opening is significantly lower than the 28.1 million its predecessor opened with.

News: Micheal B. Jordan Comments on Fantastic Four Casting

         Today Micheal B. Jordan made a statement on the heavy criticism he has received from his Fantastic Four reboot casting. The actor was announced to play the Human Torch, a role originally portrayed by Chris Evans (now Captain America), after which fans of the comic book team unleashed a barrage of criticism towards the actor.

Interview: John Logan Gives Fetails on Bond 24 Script

         The screenwriter for the next 007 movie sat down today with Empire Magazine and indulged in a few details regarding the upcoming picture. Logan say that the first draft is almost completed, confirmed Daniel Craig's heavy involvement, and said that shooting was going to start in October. Though he couldn't give out much, he did give us more than wnough to speculate on.
