Box Office: The Grand Budapest Hotel Highest-Grossing Limited Live Action Debut of All Time

         With an $800,000 opening weekend, The Grand Budapest Hotel has broken the record for highest-grossing limited live action debut, beating out The Master. The movie, opened in only four theaters in New York and Los Angeles on Friday, averaging more than $200,000 per theater.

         The Grand Budapest Hotel follows the adventures of Gustave H, a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars, and Zero Moustafa, the lobby boy who becomes his most trusted friend.

         The Grand Budapest Hotel stars Ralph Fiennes, Bill Murray and Tilda Swinton, and will be shown in more than 1,000 screens over the next five weeks.
